Scientists rejoice in stunning portraits of space from the revamped telescope

BUTTERFLY NEBULA | A butterfly-shaped nebula known as NGC 3602 surrounds a dying star in this image snapped by the Wide Field Camera 3. Dubbed the Butterfly Nebula, this region lies 3,800 light-years from Earth. Hidden by dust, a dying star that was once five times the sun’s mass lies at the center of the image.
