Science’s next generation wins accolades

Top students score prizes and scholarships at Intel Science Talent Search

WASHINGTON — It could have been the brainy version of American Idol — bright lights, fancy clothes and fanfare introducing America’s next top scientist.

THE BIG MEET | High school students from around the United States who were finalists in the 2009 Intel Science Talent Search, run by Science News publisher the Society for Science & the Public, met with President Obama March 9 as part of a week of activities and awards.
