CHANCE OF LIFE  The Kepler telescope has confirmed eight more exoplanets in the habitable zones of their stars, including two which are probably rocky.

SEATTLE — The Kepler space telescope has added 554 planet candidates to the growing list of worlds beyond the solar system, astronomers announced January 6 at the American Astronomical Society meeting.
