Clutching three black-and-white photographs, Marty Tomasko beamed as he strode into a late-night press briefing on Jan. 14 in Darmstadt, Germany. With a crowd gathering around him at the European Space Agency’s operation center, he showed off images taken by the Huygens probe, which just hours before had landed on Saturn’s moon Titan.
